Buckskin Frontier
Stephen Bent is surveying for the railroad but meets opposition from freight company owners and operators Jeptha Marr and Gideon Skene. The third faction in this western tale is Champ Clanton with a rival railroad seeking to push everyone else out of the way. This movie is reminiscent in the 1940s style of films like Tall in the Saddle and the Tycoon feel of War of the Wildcats with John Wayne and Albert Dekker. This drama says it stars Richard Dix and Jane Wyatt, but Dekker shines and carries a large part of this film. Another star in this is the great Lee J. Cobb. Also Lola Lane has a great part.
