Adam Naab is an honest, hard working rancher with a crew of good Cowboys. Judson Holderness is a thieving, conniving, murdering scoundrel with a bunch of cutthroats on his payroll. Naab send for a surveyor to settle his boundary lines, Jack Hare arrives and is intercepted by Holderness and his men, this sets a lot of wheels in motion for a showdown. Great story from Zane Grey. This is Randolph Scott's first starring roll and this is a great film. Sally Blane is also magnificent as are the rest of the cast with an outstanding performance by Big Boy Williams. She and her Aunt Flossie travel west and Tex and the girls have very different opinions of how the ranch should be operated. A Man's Land Hoot Gibson Western Movie - Complete - Full Length. Of course there is some light comedy that results from this conflict. Hoot was one of the silent western movie actors who actually transitioned well to the sound movies (Talking Pictures). Starting his movie career in 1910 Hoot remained western star in movies and off screen in other ventures and had a film career that lasted 50 years.
