There is a lot of cattle rustling going on at the ranch where Tex works that will put them out of business if not stopped. The owner of the ranch lives in Chicago, when he dies, he leaves half the ranch to Tex Mason and half to his daughter, Peggy Turner. Peggy has big ideas of changes for the ranch. "Reb" Russell was an American football back and later an actor. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles, appearing in 10 games in 1933. He played college football at Nebraska before transferring to Northwestern. He grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas. He gave up acting in 1935 and eventually returned to Coffeyville, got married and raised a family. He purchased several ranches, and became an expert on livestock breeding.
