Border Vengeance
Released in 1935. Peeler Benson aka The Muley Kid leaves his home to ride in rodeos and he does very well. But after 5 years he returns home to find mysterious goings on and cryptic letters. He is threatened to stay away from his friends ranch by outlaws and the sheriff. Some of the acting in this one is a bit rough because Lafayette H. "Reb" Russell was an American football back and later an actor. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles, appearing in 10 games in 1933. He played college football at Nebraska before transferring to Northwestern. He grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas. He gave up acting in 1935 and eventually returned to Coffeyville, got married and raised a family. He purchased several ranches, and became an expert on livestock breeding. This movie has quite the cast. Starring Reb Russell, Mary Jane Carey, Kenneth MacDonald, Clarence Geldert, Pat Harmon, Norman Feusier, Ben Corbett, Marty Joyce, Slim Whitaker, June Bupp, Silver Tip Baker, Hank Bell, Rex Bell, Fred Burns, Bartlett A.
