Trouble in Texas
Tex Masters and his friend Lucky are on the trail of desperadoes who killed Masters brother. They are riding in the rodeo circuit and Tex is good at many of the events. The villains have found a dastardly way to rig the competitions so their rider can win the prize money. Will Tex catch the crooks? Or will Tex and Lucky fall victim to this outlaw gangs nefarious plans? Also appearing in this presentation are western greats Yakima Canutt and Glenn Strange. Rita Hayworth is listed in the credits under Rita Cansino, her original birth name was Margarita Carmen Cansino. This production was originally released in 1937.
Frontier Town
Tex is working the Rodeo circuit and doing really well. He is winning many of the events. But behind the scenes is an evil counterfeiting ring who are using their bogus money for gambling on the rodeo events. Of course the outlaws become increasingly agitated with Tex for his success. Can Tex and his buddies Stubby and Peewee put an end to the villains dastardly operation? Or will the hoodlums be victorious and our heroes fall victim to these criminals?
Drift Fence
This is an epic adventure teaming two of the 1930s Big Western Stars. Jim Traft is going to inherit a ranch but is a city dude. Jim Travis bails Traft out of a dire situation and the two become friends. That is where our adventure starts in this roller coaster of an adventurous story. NOTE - A drift fence in this use of the phrase is to keep cattle from drifting off their range. Some Ranchers were fiercely against wire of any kind. But many welcomed the barbed wire. In the panhandle of Texas in the late 1800s there was a drift fence built across the panhandle to keep cattle on several ranches from drifting off their range. this turned to to be very tragic. In the late 1880s there was a terrible blizzard and all the cattle drifted south to try escape the freezing ice and snow. Only to be stopped by the Drift Fence. Thousands of cattle died up against the fence and several ranches were financially destroyed. Another great story from Zane Grey. Big adventure with plenty of action and romance.
