Bob and Persimmon are partners in a gold mine, but they ran out of money so they have agreed to work on a Dude ranch until they have enough capital to start working their claim again. There are some fun hijinks in this western adventure as well as plenty of action. Also Edgar Kennedy brings his fantastic comedy to this film. Although not really a household name today, George O'Brien starred in many westerns and was a good box-office draw. Even in the later part of the silent era. Big adventure with plenty of action and romance. Starring George O'Brien as Bob Walker Evalyn Bostock as Pamela Barclay Edgar Kennedy as Willy Persimmon Bates Maude Allen as Henrietta Barclay Stephen Chase as Hadley Thornton Daniel Jarrett as Edward Doyle Lloyd Ingraham as Ben Barclay Dean Benton as Desk Clerk Thomas A. Curran as Mr. Nolan There's plenty of suspense and action in this classic western film. This production from 1935.

A slimy town business man seems to be the outlaw gang leader and there has even been an attempt on Marshal Corrigan's life. But there are a lot of hoops to jump through for the boys to find the real outlaw lawless mastermind. So it's up to the boys to defeat the bad guys and set things straight. (INTERESTING NOTE - As an adult I have thought Elmer is really odd and silly and perhaps creepy. BUT considering these Range Busters adventures were really made for kids Elmer is a pretty good character when you consider some of children's programing these days. He is really not much different then the Muppets in movies when you think about it, so maybe Elmer is the first Muppet.) This classic western film is from 1942.
