This is a magnificent Who Done It type western film with a great cast. Larry Sutton is a mining engineer who travels to the Ballard mine to evaluate the radium mine. Before Sutton arrives one engineer has disappeared and a man has been killed. So there seems to be a killer on the loose. Also Jim Ballard appears to be on his death bed and family member have been summoned to be close to Ballard before he passes on. Great story from Zane Grey originally titled Golden Dreams. The films working title was The Vanishing Pioneer but was released as Rocky Mountain Mystery in 1935 then re-released as The Fighting Westerner. Big adventure with plenty of action and romance.
