Very early talking western for Tom Tyler. Tom Barton learns there is trouble brewing in the town where his brother is the marshal, but when he arrives his brother is no where to be found and an outlaw gang basically runs things. So he works on bringing these knaves to justice. This is another Action Packed Western Movie. Directed by Bernard B. Ray. Written by Robert Emmett Tansey. Harmony Trail
An innocent Rancher has been blamed for a payroll robbery and it is up to our heroes to catch the real culprits, right the wrongs, defeat the bad guys and set things straight. An interesting note is this is Ruth Roman's second western. Her first was Song of Nevada with Roy Rogers. She was in some of the greatest westerns made including Colt 45 with Randolph Scott, Dallas with Gary Cooper and The Far Country with James Stewart. This classic western film is from 1944. Starring Ken Maynard as Marshal Ken Maynard Eddie Dean as Marshal Eddie Dean Gene Alsace as Marshal Rocky Camron Max Terhune as Marshal Max Terhune Glenn Strange as Marshal Taylor Ruth Roman as Ann Martin Robert McKenzie as Pop Martin Charles King as Jim Sorrell Bud Osborne as Henchman Tip Al Ferguson as Henchman Red Dan White as Bronco Fred Gildart as Sleepy - Doc's Assistant Jerry Shields as Henchman Tex John Bridges as 2nd Sheriff Hal Price as Rancher Jeff Hodges Also with John Cason, Tex Cooper, Chick Hannan.
Rock River Renegades
This is a tangled one. The Range Busters are sent for to deal with an outlaw element, and the newspaper is spreading lies about The Range Busters saying they are really outlaws. So once again it's up to The Range Busters to stop the real villains and it's up to the boys to defeat the bad guys and set things straight. (INTERESTING NOTE - As an adult I have thought Elmer is really odd and silly and perhaps creepy. BUT considering these Range Busters adventures were really made for kids Elmer is a pretty good character when you consider some of children's programing these days. He is really not much different then the Muppets in movies when you think about it, so maybe Elmer is the first Muppet.) ANOTHER INTERESTING NOTE - Many may recognize Christine McIntyre who appeared as a blonde in many of the always classic Three Stooges short comedy films. This classic western film is from 1942.
