Two young boys are separated when outlaws attack a families wagon heading west. One becomes a Pony Express rider the other chooses the outlaw trail. Released in 1936. Hoot Gibson was a champion rodeo rider who became an actor, director and producer and also owned a popular dance club in California called The Painted Post. This is an exciting Robin Hood, Maid Marion type tale. Taking place in California. Michael 'Gringo' O'Brien is in love with Maria Garcia, but the evil Juan Mendoza who is the wealthy controller of the valley wants to force Maria to marry him. This full length film is full of romance action and a bit of fun comedy. There is also treasure involved in this tale of the Old West. This feature was produced by none other than Duncan Renaldo (The Cisco Kid himself). There are a few oddly cast actors in this production, but it is an interesting and entertaining presentation. From 1947 and starring Donald Woods and Gloria Warren.
