The Redhead from Wyoming
A saloonkeeper sides with the sheriff for justice after she's framed for rustling.
Last of the Warrens
Ted Warren is back from WWI after being shot down and recovering from a plane crash. But not everyone is happy that he is home. Underneath it all there is a villain who has been and continues to carry out his sinister plans with no limits on how far he will go. Bob is great in this one and of course the magnificent Charles King displays greatness as well. Lots of adventure here. There are some pretty magnificent stunts in this one now and then. Great action western. An interesting side note is that Bob Steele was born Robert Adrian Bradbury Jr. born in Portland, Oregon, into a vaudeville family. His parents were Robert North Bradbury and the former Nieta Quinn. He had a twin brother, Bill, also an actor. After years of touring, the family settled in Hollywood in the late 1910s, where his father soon found work in the movies, first as an actor, later as a director. By 1920, Robert Bradbury hired Bob and his twin, Bill, as juvenile leads for a series of adventure movies titled The Adventures of Bill and Bob. Steele attended Glendale High School, but left before graduation. We have remastered this film into higher definition and really cleaned up the audio. From 1936. Bob Steele as Ted Warren Margaret Marquis as Mary Burns Charles King as Kent, aka Shelby Horace Murphy as Grizzly Lafe McKee as Sheriff Bates Charles K. French as Bruce Warren Blackie Whiteford as Slippery Gerns Steve Clark as Henchman Spike Helen Gibson as Mrs. Burns Horace B. Carpenter as Doctor Tex Palmer as a Henchman
Frontier Scout
Wild Bill Hickok and his friends Whiney Roberts and Steve Norris work undercover as spies during the civil war. When the war ends they head west. Steve has cattle that are being rustled and Hickok must go under cover to smoke the bandits out. This film does take liberties with James Butler Hickok, but it is another wonderful action packed adventure. Also keep an eye out for the comedy routine between Al Fuzzy St. John and the great Mantan Moreland. Al had appeared in many westerns by this time. This is the third western Mantan appeared in. The first two were Harlem on the Prairie and Two Gun Man from Harlem.
Abilene Town
The cattle town of Abilene Kansas is a boiling pot for trouble between Cattlemen, Farmers and Town folk. Marshal Dan Mitchell is doing his best to keep the lid from blowing off, but he has to battle people on all sides. Mitchell has two women out to catch him the tame and beautiful Sherry Balder and the fiery dance hall singer Rita. There are several great songs in this classic western film. We have remastered this into a higher resolution. Great story from Ernest Haycox. Great cast with an outstanding performance by Edgar Buchanan. Big adventure with plenty of action and romance. Starring Randolph Scott as Marshal Dan Mitchell Ann Dvorak as Rita Edgar Buchanan as Sheriff Bravo Trimble Rhonda Fleming as Sherry Balder Lloyd Bridges as Henry Dreiser Helen Boyce as Big Annie Howard Freeman as Ed Balder Richard Hale as Charlie Fair Jack Lambert as Jet Younger Dick Curtis as Cap Ryker Eddy Waller as Hannaberry Hank Patterson as Doug Neil Chubby Johnson as homesteader Guy Wilkerson as card player with Sheriff Trimble Walter Baldwin as the Train Conductor Paul Brinegar as a Gambler Victor Adamson as a Farmer Polly Bond as a town girl Danny Borzage as a musician There's plenty of suspense and action in this classic western film. This production from 1946. Hosted by Bob Terry.
Raiders of Red Gap
A gang is attacking ranches and several people have been killed. Government agent Rocky Cameron and his partner Fuzzy are sent to handle the lawlessness. This is another action packed Lone Rider classic film.
When a Man's a Man
From a story by Harold Bell Wright who also wrote - The Shepherd of the Hills & - The Winning of Barbara Worth. Larry Knight arrives in the west by train. He doesn't seem to have much direction in life but soon becomes friends with Phil Acton. Acton likes Larry and when Knight asks for a job Phil hires him. This land Larry in the middle of a water rights dispute. Also there is Kitty Baldwin the ranchers daughter who Phil has been pursuing for years and there is Nick Gambert who seems to have plans of his own for Kitty. It all makes for a powder keg that seems it could explode at any time. George O'Brien is very entertaining in his easy going manner as always. Although not really a household name today, George O'Brien starred in many westerns and was a good box-office draw. Even in the later part of the silent era. Big adventure with plenty of action and romance.
Rustlers' Hideout
Billy Carson and Fuzzy are bringing a herd of cattle to Dave Crockett's ranch. Billy is leery about going through the pass where several herds have been rustled, his suspicions are right as there are men after Crockett's ranch and they hope to make Crockett fail to pay off his note. As always lots of fast action and adventure along with some fun funny comedy from Fuzzy.
